The Combined Women's Refuge Group unites Domestic and Family Violence refuges to advocate for women and children's right to live a life free from violence.
Advocating for the interests of women and children escaping domestic and family violence; and the services which provide them with information, referral, accommodation and support for over 40 years.
Thank you to RBWH Social Work Services
For the third year running, the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Social Work Services team has organised a fundraiser to provide gift cards for women and children in refuge. Mothers being able to buy personalised gifts for their kids are the focus of these fundraisers. This wonderful team worked tirelessly and raised over $1500 for women and children living in refuge. A huge thank you to April and her colleagues!
DFV Prevention Month | New Brochure
The members of the CWRG have developed a brochure for women to provide information about refuges. FAQs about refuges, the importance of making a safety plan and DVConnect's contact details are included.
Leeanne Strangways' artwork, 'Many Cultures, One Journey' is featured and reflects our members' commitment to providing inclusive, safe and supported short-term crisis accommodation.
The brochure has been designed to be downloaded and printed in any setting, including hospitals and community centres.
